Jerry BrocklehurstFounder, President, & CEO Jerry has had a successful 30-year career in Marketing and Sales at various Silicon Valley high-tech companies. He is now returning full-time to what he has always loved best - music. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jerry received formal training on keyboards beginning at the age of seven. He formed his first rock band while in Junior High School and went on to play in various rock bands through High School and College. Jerry combined the disciplines of electronic engineering with music by earning a BSEE and music degree from Purdue University, and worked as a recording engineer at TRC studios in Indianapolis. In 1994, he joined BMI and launched his own publishing company and project studio, Broken Gopher Music, producing his first solo instrumental CD, "Gopher Broke". Over the past 15 years, Jerry has developed numerous key contacts throughout the music business and, in 2004, left the high-tech world of Silicon Valley to leverage his experience, love of music, and industry contacts to the full-time effort of launching and growing New Boomer Music. Jerry is a member of NARAS and HARA. Katherine BrocklehurstVice President, Business Development Katherine holds a BS degree in Music, is a composer and vocalist, and is an accomplished musician at keyboards and celtic harp. In 2003, she joined BMI and regularly attends music industry events such as the Kauai Music Festival, the TAXI Road Rally, and others to stay in touch with the music community. Throughout her 25+ year successful career in executive management, she has provided leadership and insight to worldwide teams for the development of multi-million dollar Business, Marketing, and Sales endeavors. Katherine is now combining the best of both worlds - strong business acumen and a love of music - applying her skills and expertise towards the development of key strategic partnerships within the music business that will bolster our core values for the benefit of our artists, our customers, our target charities, and the community at large. |
