The Management Team

Jerry Brocklehurst
Founder, President, & CEO

Jerry has had a successful 30-year career in Marketing and Sales at various Silicon Valley high-tech companies. He is now returning full-time to what he has always loved best - music.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jerry received formal training on keyboards beginning at the age of seven. He formed his first rock band while in Junior High School and went on to play in various rock bands through High School and College. Jerry combined the disciplines of electronic engineering with music by earning a BSEE and music degree from Purdue University, and worked as a recording engineer at TRC studios in Indianapolis. In 1994, he joined BMI and launched his own publishing company and project studio, Broken Gopher Music, producing his first solo instrumental CD, "Gopher Broke". Over the past 15 years, Jerry has developed numerous key contacts throughout the music business and, in 2004, left the high-tech world of Silicon Valley to leverage his experience, love of music, and industry contacts to the full-time effort of launching and growing New Boomer Music. Jerry is a member of NARAS and HARA.

Katherine is now combining the best of both worlds - strong business acumen and a love of music - applying her skills and expertise towards the development of key strategic partnerships within the music business that will bolster our core values for the benefit of our artists, our customers, our target charities, and the community at large.

Mark_MooneyMark Mooney
Vice President, Artist Relations

Independent singer-songwriter Mark Mooney spent nearly 40 years at building and running successful businesses in Silicon Valley, California. Now, in the summer of 2008, Mark has released his second CD "The Beginning of Again" to U.S. radio and has assumed the key role of managing Artist Relations at New Boomer Music. As a "Boomer" artist himself, Mark has the passion, vision, and business experience needed to help other Boomer artists succeed.

Here's what Mark has to say: "There has been a time when an artist had to be in their early 20's to get an audience to come out to see them or to buy their albums. However, with the recent success of the Rolling Stones' tour, & with Taylor Hicks winning on U.S. TV's "American Idol", it seems that mature performers are proving that they have what it takes to draw a crowd. Music is now going to be recognized by the quality & energy of the artist, & not by the age of the performer."

Even though it took nearly 40 years for his dream to come true, Mark still has plenty of time to share it with us.
